Marissa Herrera

Marissa Herrera began her professional career at the age of 5 performing with the Ballet Folklorico de Aztlan Dance Company. Feature credits include "Romeo & Juliet" Zoot Suit Style with Tony Plana's East LA Classic Theatre, "Selena Forever", Luis Avalos' "Paquito's Christmas", and as Lupe Reyna in the 25th Anniversary Tour of Luis Valdez' "Zoot Suit" with El Teatro Campesino. Film credits include "Why Can't We Be Friends?" and as a principle dancer in Sony Pictures "You Got Served".

Marissa believes deeply in sharing her passion with youth in the community. She has led dance workshops throughout the country and has written, choreographed and directed many projects for various schools in LA County. Marissa is currently teaching dance choreography/performance workshops at Inner-city arts.
